Fennel Pollen

Fennel Pollen

Fennel pollen is a precious flavor, somehow managing to be both concentrated and delicate at the same time. All the wonderful fennel flavor is there, but there are additional soft high notes that dance around on the palate—a wonderful flavor sensation!A little bit goes along way, and heat dissipates the flavor, so sprinkle it on your dish right before serving. Fennel pollen is wonderful on lighter fare—white fish, green salads, and vegetables. Net Weight: 14g. The weight listed below the price (above) is total shipping weight including the jar.

Fenugreek Seed

Fenugreek Seed

Fenugreek seed is a very hard seed that, when ground, adds a nutty flavor and hints of maple. Common in curries and flatbreads of India, and also a component of the Ethiopian spice mix Berbere, fenugreek can be toasted prior to use to enhance the nutty flavor and aroma of the seed. Add a bit of the ground seed to your next pecan pie to appreciate the maple flavor.

It is used as a mild flavoring agent and thickener in gumbo and other traditional soups and stews.Add filé powder in the final stage of cooking your gumbo or stew to thicken it to the desired consistency. Start with only 1/4 teaspoon and add it slowly to avoid over-thickening.

Fines Herbes

The sophisticated flavor of this dried blend of Fines Herbes was inspired by the fresh blends used in French cuisine. The flavors are delicate and- fine. Use them with lighter fare so that their nuances will shine through. Fines Herbes will add delicate flavors to egg dishes from a simple scramble to an elaborate frittatas. The blend also works well with fish and light bean salads.

Fin & Feather BBQ Rub

Fin & Feather BBQ Rub

This rub was created with poultry and fish in mind. We've taken a classic barbecue style rub, heavy on the paprika, black pepper and garlic granules, and lightened it with onion flakes, lemon peel, sage, and marjoram. The result is robust enough to season turkey legs or chicken but subtle and delicate enough for any catch of fish.Try it on salmon and top with sliced pears. It's delicious. Fin & Feather is also our first choice rub for traditional holiday poultry!

Fleur de Sel

Fleur de Sel

Before finishing salts were fashionable, there was fleur de sel. Traditionally collected off the coast of Brittany, this is the original artisanal table salt. This sea salt is harvested by hand from only the top layer of huge salt pans before it sinks to the bottom. It's fine texture requires no grinding and boasts a mineral rich, deep peaty flavor that complements any dish.

French Lavender

French Lavender

Lavender flowers have a distinctly floral flavor and give wonderful nuance to herbal blends. The bright purple buds are potent and a little goes a long way. Lavender flowers can be added to herbal blends like Herbes de Provence or Lemon Herb Pepper for a floral note in the mix. They also make a wonderful addition to desserts and beverages, like ice cream, shortbread, and lemonade.
