Press ADD at the top of any page and you'll find eight things you can make. Recipe, List, and Class are covered in their own help articles. The other five are types of post. They sort what you make so other cooks can find it, and there's no minimum length on any of them.
A Story is meant to be longer-form. A meal you cooked, the person you cooked it for, a kitchen you grew up in, a dinner that went off the rails. Some run a paragraph and some run a page.
A Guide takes a subject start to finish. How you toast and grind whole spices, how you'd build a cabinet from nothing, ten things to do with dill.
A Tip is one small thing you know. Two sentences can be a whole tip. An unexpected use for cinnamon, what you shake on microwave popcorn, the five-minute time-saver you use on weeknight dinner.
A Link points at something good somewhere else. Paste the URL and we'll fetch the title and summary for you, then you add a line about why you're sending people there.
A Discussion asks a question and leaves it open. You're collecting answers rather than giving one.
Your tags are how people find the post, so a couple of accurate ones help.
