Last night I made black pepper steak with cabbage from a New York Times recipe. In lieu of whole peppercorns cracked, I used about a teaspoon of ground Black Tellicherry peppers, along with fresh garlic, light brown sugar, and cornstarch as a rub for the steak. It was delicious.
