About this Recipe
These Midnight Berry Tea pops are a magical concoction that will transport you to a garden. The mesmerizing blue hue, courtesy of the butterfly pea flower, is complemented by the sweet and tart bursts of blueberries. A delightful symphony of flavors unfolds with each taste, as notes of cinnamon, elderflower, star anise, and chamomile dance on your palate.
Instructions
1
Place the loose leaf Midnight Berry Tea into a teapot or heatproof pitcher. Pour 2 cups of boiling water over the tea leaves. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
2
After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to pour the tea into a mixing bowl or another pitcher, removing the tea leaves.
3
Stir in the granulated sugar while the tea is still warm, until dissolved.
4
Add the half-and-half to the sweetened tea and mix until well combined.
5
Pour the mixture into ice pop molds or Dixie cups, filling them about 3/4 full.
6
Drop a few fresh blueberries into each mold or cup.
7
Insert wooden sticks into the centers of the Dixie cups.
8
Place the molds or cups in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
9
To remove the ice pops from Dixie cups, run warm water briefly around the outside of the cup to loosen them.
