About this Recipe

When doing a cheeseburger night at home, you probably aren't thinking of ways to incorporate Indian flavors—but that's ok, we've done it for you! This Indian Garam Masala Aioli is a quick and easy way to add flavor to a cheeseburger, as a dip for crackers and breads, and even on seafood. There's almost nothing it can't do!

For the burger, we've used a mild provolone cheese and spiced things up with some fresh jalapeño and Thai chiles. Finished with a thin slice of tomato, this unique burger is quite the treat! You can easily make this one Vegetarian by switching to a bean burger. If you like it spicy, this is the burger you've been dreaming of.

Instructions

1
Add mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, and Indian Garam Masala to a small bowl. Mix well with a whisk or a spatula.
2
Cover and place in the refrigerator overnight allowing for flavors to meld.
3
Heat your frying pan to a medium heat and add a little butter.
4
Place the burger buns in the pan, inside down, and let sit for 30 seconds or so until the inside of the buns becomes toasted. Repeat until all the buns are finished and set aside.
5
Place the burger patties in the frying pan and cook for 3-5 minutes. Flip the patties and repeat on the other side. Flip one more time and add 2 slices of provolone to each burger. Cover the pan and wait 30-60 seconds. When the cheese is melted, remove each burger patty from the pan and place on a burger bun.
6
To finish the burger, add 2-3 heaping tablespoons of your Indian Garam Masala Aioli.
7
Garnish with tomato, cilantro, and chiles to taste.
8
Serve hot and enjoy!
