About this Recipe

Want to make your own Boba at home? Get ready to rock your taste buds with Maple Sugar Boba madness!

Toss those tapioca pearls into a dance of flavor with a bold maple twist. It's like your classic boba tea got a rebellious makeover. Embrace the chew, own the maple, and sip on awesome like never before!

Instructions

1

Bring a medium sized pot of water to a rolling boil. You'll need about 8 cups of water for every 1 cup of tapioca pearls.

2

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the tapioca pearls to the pot. Stir gently to prevent them from sticking to the bottom.

3

Let the pearls simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Keep an eye on them and stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. The pearls will become soft and translucent when they're cooked.

4

Remove the pot from the heat and cover for 15 minutes.

5

Once the boba is cooked it will be chewy and have no hard center. If it's still a bit hard in the center, continue to soak until tender.

6

Once the boba is cooked to your desired consistency, drain them from the water and rinse them under cold water. This will prevent them from sticking together.

7

To subtly sweeten the boba add ½ a cup of water and the maple sugar. Stir them until the sugar is dissolved.

8

Soak the cooked pearls in the maple sugar for an hour before serving.

9

Boba is best when fresh, so nosh on them within 24 hours!
